A grid connection form outranks every page you've written about solar

This review is about who your website brings in. We went through the site, your search rankings and your reviews. Your single biggest source of Google traffic is a PDF about the ESB's grid connection paperwork, not a service page. "Solar panels tipperary" does bring a handful of real visits, a genuine partial win most sites we review don't have. Six other well-written guides, on grants, costs, and choosing an installer, sit far past page one with nothing. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

A form beats your own service pages

Google tracks 21 searches for the site. Real visits come from five of them, and they add up to your full 21 a month, to the visit. Twelve of those visits go to a PDF explaining the NC6 grid connection form. Seven go to "solar panels tipperary," a genuine home-county win. Everything else you've written, buried.

What people GooglePeople / monthYour situation
nc6 form3909th, on the raw PDF. Brings 12 visits combined with its guide page.9th
solar panels tipperary2104th. Your own county, genuinely working. Brings 7 visits.4th
seai grants solar panels39014th, on a real grants guide. Zero visits.14th
solar panel companies ireland17076th, on your "best installer" guide.76th
solar panel roof26049th, your weakest ranking.49th

"Solar panels tipperary" proves the site can rank on its own merits. The pattern from there is clear: your informational content, real guides on grants, costs and choosing an installer, is written well enough to exist, but none of it has been given the aim needed to compete for the search it answers.

Bottom line: Your home-county ranking already works. Everything built after it hasn't caught up.
02 The specifics

Three things holding the rest of the site back

The reviews are real and already shown, the case studies are real and named, this isn't a trust problem. These are the specific gaps in reach.

Weak
Six real guides, all buried past page two
SEAI grants, solar costs and ROI, choosing an installer, roof fitting types, and PV system components are all genuinely written, useful pages. None sits above 14th. Content this specific should be earning more than zero visits.
Weak
Only 7 sites link to yours
A low number of real, referring domains is the main reason well-written pages still can't compete once they're past your home-county term. More real links from other sites is what moves this.
Missing
No page targets a neighbouring county
You cover Clare, Laois, Limerick and more per your own listing. Only Tipperary has a real, working ranking. The same aim that works for one county can be repeated for the others.
Worth noticing

None of this is a design or trust problem, the reviews are shown, the case studies are real, the founder's name is on the page. What's missing is reach: more sites linking in, and the existing guides given a real shot at the searches they already answer.

Bottom line: The trust is already visible. The content just needs more weight behind it to be found.
03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · Give the grants guide a real Google listing
390 searches a month exist for this exact topic, and the page already answers it.
Current position
https://moontreesolar.ie/grant-homeowners/
14th for "seai grants solar panels"
Zero measurable visits despite the page ranking on page two.
What moves it
https://moontreesolar.ie/grant-homeowners/
Add the exact 2026 grant figure and a Tipperary example
Sharpens the page for the exact phrase, moving it from page two toward page one.
Fix 2 · Repeat the Tipperary win for a second county
"Solar panels tipperary" already ranks 4th. The same approach can be pointed at the other counties you serve.
/solar-panels-clare/ → owner: whoever manages the site, copy the structure that already works for Tipperary
/solar-panels-limerick/ → owner: same, your second-most-mentioned service county
Fix 3 · Build real links to the guides
Only 7 sites link in today. These are real, low-cost ways to add more.
Submit the "best solar company in Ireland" guide to relevant local directories → owner: whoever manages the site
Ask Sigenergy, Sofar and SAJ if they list installer partners on their own sites → owner: same, real component brands you already work with
Bottom line: Repeat what already works for Tipperary, then build the links that let the rest follow.

Bottom line: Every fix here builds on a pattern that's already proven to work once, in Tipperary.
05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

The size of it

21 visits a month arrive from Google today.

Over half come from a grid-connection PDF, not a sales page.

"Seai grants solar panels" alone is 390 searches a month, currently unclaimed.

Your Tipperary ranking proves the pattern works. Repeating it for a second county and sharpening the grants guide gives the site a real shot at traffic beyond a grid-connection form. What that becomes in enquiries and signed jobs depends on your close rate and your job values, and you know those numbers better than anyone. That's the sum worth doing on your side.

Bottom line: The proof of concept already exists in your own numbers. It just hasn't been repeated yet.
Why sooner beats later

Other Tipperary and mid-west installers are already building the links and county pages this site is missing. The genuine review record and real case studies you already have only compound in value the sooner more of the site earns its own visibility.
